Introducing DappFund.io - LiquidApps community incubator
It’s impossible to deny that 2020 has been an incredible year for LiquidApps, many new features and new teams are now building on the DAPP Network.
In 2021 we should finally realize that we are ready to exit the experimental stage and embrace mass adoption. With the implementation of the bridge technology every project running on any blockchain could potentially use LiquidApps, to scale and speed up development.
With the next launch of EdgeDSPs the barriers to run a DAPP Service Provider will be so low that we could see swarms of new actors. We have everything we need except an incentive mechanism to grow the ecosystem to his full potential, this is why we are introducing DappFund.
Currently the DAPP inflation is set to 2.71% but due to the fact that less than half of the tokens are staked, the staking APR offered by many providers is around 5 / 5.5%. This reward redistributed to token holders has little/no positive impact in the adoption of LiquidApps.
Staking to DappFund allows you to freely choose how to distribute the DAPP inflation to the projects you want to support and eventually keep a % to yourself. Any dapp that is using or is willing to use LiquidApps can apply for funding.
The DappFund website will have a brief description of the projects, all the services used or that are planned to be used and most important the contacts to developers. We are a little community and it’s important that from the start we embrace the open source philosophy of sharing problems and solutions. We cannot expect the LiquidApps team to do everything and that’s why we need to be organized to help each other.
Aside from funding dapps there is the exciting possibility to create jackpots that will be awarded to developers that complete important achievements or community initiatives.
Token holders will be asked to suggest proposals and vote on important decisions. There are already several million DAPP tokens available for completing grants and bounties but with DappFund the community will have its own tool to decide what LiquidApps will be in the future and make it happen.
